Issues
The Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce is focused on raising the voice and profile of young professionals on issues that are of importance to Los Angeles and future generations. Our Board of Directors is working on establishing an advocacy platform to engage and educate young professionals of Los Angeles ages 21-40. If you are interested in joining the Junior Chamber or learning more about how to participate on various advocacy platforms, contact membership@lajcc.org or (213) 680-8017.
CURRENT ISSUES:
Early Childhood Education
In September 2012, the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce pledged its support for ECEWorks! — a First 5 LA initiative aimed at improving workforce policies for the Early Childhood Education (ECE) sector. This campaign aims to bring light to the current and long-term economic benefits that can be derived from ECE investments. ECEWorks! is especially relevant to the Junior Chamber members (ages 21-40) where access to quality childcare has direct impact on their ability to contribute to the economy and participate in an ever increasingly competitive workforce. Visit www.eceworks.org for more details and how you can become a part of the movement.
